We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Technical Intern to join our program team and help build a Natural Language Processing (NLP) based semantic engine for a federal customer.

Job Responsibilities

• Manually clean Tab Text files using Visual Studio Code Insiders.
• Follow document cleaning guidelines to ensure Tab Text files accurately represent source documents.
• Complete self/peer reviews of cleaned Tab text and source documentation represented in the User Interface.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and weekly retrospectives.
• Engage with other team members and provide support on various document pipeline tasks, in addition to document cleaning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Proficiency or ability to learn and develop proficiency in Visual Studio Code Insiders.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in others.

Education

• Recent graduate BS/BA majoring in a STEM degree area or currently enrolled in master’s degree in a STEM program.

Location

McLean, VA/Remote - local preferred.

Position Type/Hours

Internship / 20-30 hours per week through September.

Clearance

Ability to maintain and obtain a federal public trust clearance.

Other

US permanent residency or US citizenship required.
